The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) was formed under article 315(1) in the Constitution of India in 1st May, 1960. To select applicants for civil service jobs in the Indian state of Gujarat according to the merits of the applicants and the rules of reservation. It was formed in 1960.[1]

As per Article no.316 Constitution of India, State governor has the power to select member and chairman of their own state's PSC.

A chairman and members of GPSC can stay on their position till 6 years or 62 years..in both of them which is early.

Now Dinesh Dasa is the current chairman of GPSC.



Following functions have been entrusted to the Gujarat Public Service Commission under Article 320 of the Constitution of India.

To conduct examinations for appointment to the services of the State.
To advise on –
The matters relating to methods of recruitment to various Civil Services of the State;
The principles to be followed in making appointments to civil services of the State and granting promotions, transfers from one service to another and the suitability of candidates for such appointments, promotions and transfers;
All the disciplinary matters affecting the Government servants,
The claims of reimbursements of legal expenses incurred by Government Servants in defending themselves in legal proceedings initiated against them for the act done or purported to be done by them while executing their duty;
The claims for granting injury-pensions to Government Servants; and
Any other matters that may be referred to the Commission by His Execellancy the Governor
These functions are subject to the limitations imposed by the Gujarat Public Service Commission (Exemption from Consultation) Regulations, 1960 made under proviso to clause (3) of Article 320 of the Constitution of India.

SAINIK SCHOOL BALACHADI ENTRANCE EXAM




The Sainik Schools are a system of schools in India established and managed by the Sainik Schools Society under Ministry of Defence. They were conceived in 1961 by V. K. Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister of India, to rectify the regional and class imbalance amongst the Officer cadre of the Indian Military, and to prepare students for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune and Indian Naval Academy. Today there are 26 such schools covering all the states of the country.[1][2]

The schools come under the purview of respective state governments and Ministry of Defence, and in his Union Budget of 2008, Finance minister, P Chidambaram, allocated Rs 2 crore to each of the 25 Sainik schools, to counter rising attrition in the defence forces, especially at the officer level

A tehsil (also known as a mandal, taluk, taluq or taluka) is an administrative division in some countries of South Asia. It is an area of land with a city or town that serves as its administrative centre, with possible additional towns, and usually a number of villages. The terms in India have replaced earlier geographical terms, such as pargana, pergunnah and thannah, used under k..[clarification needed] but Delhi Sultanate and the British Raj.

As an entity of local government, the tehsil office (panchayat samiti) exercises certain fiscal and administrative power over the villages and municipalities within its jurisdiction. It is the ultimate executive agency for land records and related administrative matters. The chief official is called the tahsildar or, less officially, the talukdar or taluka muktiarkar or tehsildar. Taluk or tehsil can be considered sub-districts in Indian context. In some instances, tehsils overlap with "blocks" (panchayat union blocks or panchayat development blocks) and come under the land and revenue department, headed by tehsildar; and blocks come under the rural development department, headed by the block development officer and serve different government administrative functions over the same or similar geographical area.[1]

Although they may on occasion share the same area with a subdivision of a revenue divisions, known as revenue blocks, the two are distinct. For example, Raipur district in Chhattisgarh state is administratively divided into 13 tehsils and 15 revenue blocks.[2] Nevertheless, the two are often conflated.

Tehsil/tahsil and taluka and their variants are used as English words without further translation. Since these terms are unfamiliar to English speakers outside the subcontinent, the word county has sometimes been provided as a gloss, on the basis that a tehsil, like a county, is an administrative unit hierarchically above the local city, town, or village, but subordinate to a larger state or province. India and Pakistan have an intermediate level of hierarchy (or more than one, at least in parts of India): the district, also sometimes translated as county. In neither case is the analogy very exact.

The online examination (Preliminry and Main o te next Commn Recruitment Prcess for selectionof personnel for Clerical cadre Pasts in the Participating Organisations is tentatively scheduled in Derember 2018 8 January 2019 Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Participating Organisations listed at (A) as a Clerk or in a similar post in that cadre, is required Common Recruitment Process (CRP ClerksV. The examination will be two tier i.e the online examination will be held in two phases, Online Preliminary and Onlie Mai. Candidates who will qualify in Onlinc Preliminary Examination and shortlisted have to appear for Onlinc Main Examination. Depending on the vacancies to he filled in during the financial year 2019-20 hased on the husiness needs of the Participating Organisations and as reported to IRPS, candidates shortisted wl be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organisations keeping i view the spirit of Gov. Guidelines on reservation policy administrative convenience, ete. The validity for CRP Clerks-VIII will automatically expire at the close of business on 31.03.2020 with or without giving any notice. Indicative Statewise and categorywise vacancies of each of the Participating Organizations are given vide Annexure-L Reeruitment in Participating Organizations is a dynamic process which depends upon restriction imposed, husiness volume, business growth, health of the organizations, branch expansion, internal and external factors, structural changes etc. Vacancies mentioned here are indicative and anticipated as communicated by the participating organisations. However, Provisional allotment will be made based on the actual vacancies reported by the participating organisations This Recruitment Process- Online Preliminary Oline Main Examination and prcvisional allotment for recruitment of Clerical cadre posts in Participating Organisations has the approval of the appropria authorities. IBPS, an autonomous body, has reccived a mandate from the organisations mentioned at (A) below, to conduct thc recruitment process as mentioned above, once a year. IBPS will make arrangements for conducting online Preliminary examination, declare result of online Preliminary examination and inform the shortlisted candidates about the online Main examination. Prospective candidates will have to apply to IBPS after carefully reading the advertisement regarding the process of examinations and provisional allotment, eligibility criteria, online registration processes, payment of prescribod, application fee/ intimation charges, pattern of examination, issuance of call letters etc. and ensure that they fulfil the stipulated criteria and follow the prescribed prucesses

New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released Hall Ticket for the Civil Services Main Examination 2018. It can be downloaded from the official website of UPSC.


As per the official timetable, the examination will start on 28th September 2018. Examination for Essay will be held on 28th September whereas General studies exams are scheduled to be held on 29th and 30th September. Indian language and Optional paper exam will be conducted on 6th and 7th October respectively.

It may be mentioned that this recruitment examination is meant to fill up different posts.

It may be noted that there are two stages of this examination viz., Civil Service Preliminary and Civil Service Mains (Written and Interview). Marks obtained in written and Interview will be considered for ranking.
